Banana bread

Banana Bread is a good option for breakfast or an afternoon snack without refined sugar for children. Its excellent fibre and vitamin content makes it very healthy and tasty, thanks to the sweetness of the banana, the dates and the honey. Moreover, this recipe with vanilla-flavoured Vitafos® provides the extra proteins, minerals, vitamins and prebiotics and other nutrients that help children to grow and develop properly.

Ingredients for 1 serving:

  • 2 scoops of vanilla-flavoured Vitafos® (28 g)
  • 2 Dates
  • 10 millilitres of Sunflower Oil
  • 15 grams of Brazil nuts
  • 35 grams of Wheat flour
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 teaspoonful of Yeast
  • 1 teaspoonful of Honey
  • 1/4 teaspoonful of Cinnamon
  • 20 millilitres of Whole milk
  • A pinch of Salt

Preparation:

  1. Use an electric blender to beat the bananas, milk, oil, honey and the dates until the mixture is very smooth.
  2. Mix the flour, vanilla-flavoured Vitafos®, yeast, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add the mixture of flour to the liquid bowl and then whisk it until the mixture is fully integrated.
  4. Add 10 g of chopped Brazil nuts to the mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into an oven mould and add the remaining 5 g of chopped nuts on top for decoration.
  6. Bake in the oven at 180°C for 35 minutes.
  7. Let it cool properly before eating it.

Gastronomic observation

If you have whole wheat flour, use it to make the sponge cake to enhance the recipe’s nutritional value.

We recommend that you use ripe bananas, because they are easier to mash up and provide greater sweetness.
