Strawberry-filled crêpes

This is a very versatile recipe, and you can change the ingredients of the filling to suit your child’s taste. The combination of ingredients presented here provides balanced nutrients, including complex carbohydrates, fats, proteins, dairy products and fruit. When combined with vanilla-flavoured Vitafos® it results in a perfect recipe for breakfast or afternoon snack for your child!

Ingredients for two servings: 

  • 1 Egg 
  • 4 scoops of vanilla-flavoured Vitafos® (56 g)
  • 150 grams of Strawberries
  • 40 grams of Wheat flour
  • 80 millilitres of Whole milk
  • 5 grams of Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoonful of Lemon juice
  • 45 grams of Cream cheese

Preparation

For the crêpes:

  1. Add the flour, milk, egg and 4 scoops of vanilla-flavoured Vitafos® to a bowl.
  2. Mix all the ingredients with the help of a whisk.
  3. Pour the mixture slowly into a frying pan with a knob of butter to prevent it from sticking to the pan and then spread out the dough to form thin crêpes.

For the filling:

  1. Mix the cream cheese and the lemon juice.
  2. Spread the cream cheese on the crêpe.
  3. Cut up the strawberries and add them to the crêpe.

Gastronomic observation

This easy recipe gives you multiple options and different combinations to experiment with. You can roll the crêpes up or fold them over and also fill them with another type of fruit and replace the cream cheese with jam or marmalade without added sugar or preserve.
